Notification of cargo delivery status to consignee
Undertaking the "break-bulk" procedures as and when required
Clearing goods and effecting delivery to consignee within 48 hours (when shipment is by air freight)
Compiling a manifest showing details of the P.O.D as returned to the overseas agent(the shipper) within 10 days after the arrival of the consignment
Issuing a routing order to the Handling Agent
Planning and preparation of transportation arrangements **
Tentative planning to undertake cargo transportation following first contact with client
Investigation of the possibilities for direct transportation when required for urgent, sensitive or specialised forms of cargo handling(including considerations for extra ordinary weight and measurement of goods) as and where applicable
Inspection of loading locations, ports and sites to ensure all aspects and potential difficulties for cargo handling are taken into consideration
Selection of various/alternative means of transportation and the equipment required for loading and unloading goods etc.
Identifying the documentation and customs clearance procedures required
Notification of sailing dates and "cargo lot" details for the client/shipper, arrival dates, requirements for discharge of the "cargo lot", including en route details concerning sites and transfer details to client's delivery locations etc.
